GoalGrid AI terms

Labels you see on predictions, match detail, and the track record.

Official Pick
The main AI pick for a match — strongest data, clearer risk. Counts toward the public Official ROI on Results.
AI Signal
Extra analysis or a riskier angle. Useful for research, tracked separately from Official Picks ROI.
AI Confidence
How strongly the model rates a pick (0–100%). Helps compare picks — not a guarantee of winning.
Risk level
Low / medium / high — volatility and data quality around the pick. Always read together with confidence.
Confidence
Same as AI Confidence on pick cards — model certainty in the scenario, not a promise of profit.
ROI
Return on Investment — profit or loss from settled picks in units (e.g. +4.5u). Official Picks use a flat 1u stake.
Hit rate / Win rate
Share of settled picks that won. GoalGrid shows this separately for Official Picks and AI Signals.
Flat stake / Unit (1u)
Fixed bet size per pick (e.g. €1 from a €100 bankroll). Every Official Pick is tracked as 1 unit for fair comparison.

Football markets

What the tip line and market badge mean on each prediction.

1X2
Match result: 1 = home win, X = draw, 2 = away win.
Double Chance
Covers two of three outcomes — 1X (home or draw), X2 (draw or away), 12 (home or away). Lower odds, higher hit chance.
DNB
Draw No Bet — win if your team wins; void on draw (stake back); lose only if your team loses.
BTTS / GG
Both Teams To Score — Yes if both score; No if at least one team fails to score. GG is the same idea (both teams score).
Over / Under (O/U)
Total goals line — e.g. Over 2.5 wins with 3+ goals; Under 2.5 wins with 0–2 goals.
Asian Handicap (AH)
Goal handicap on one team (e.g. -0.5, +1). Removes the draw or splits stake across lines for finer risk control.
European Handicap
Whole-goal handicap with draw still possible on the adjusted line (e.g. home -1 still allows a draw at -1).
Correct Score
Exact final score (e.g. 2-1). High odds, low hit rate — high variance market.
HT / FT
Half-time / Full-time result combo — you must predict both the half-time and full-time outcomes.
Clean Sheet
One team keeps a shutout — common in “team to keep a clean sheet” or BTTS No angles.

Stakes & money

Bankroll, odds, and how tickets are built.

Bankroll
Your total betting budget. Split into units — never stake random amounts per match.
Stake
Amount risked on one pick or ticket. On GoalGrid, Official tracking assumes a 1u flat stake.
Odds
Price offered by the bookmaker. Higher odds = bigger potential return and usually lower implied probability.
Value / Edge
When your estimated chance is better than the odds imply. GoalGrid surfaces confidence and risk — you still choose if the price is worth it.
Single
One selection on one ticket. Simplest way to track results and manage variance.
Accumulator (Acca)
Multiple legs on one ticket — all must win. Higher payout, much higher risk; one wrong leg loses everything.
Combo / Parlay
Same idea as an acca — linked selections, all must land for the ticket to win.
Cash Out
Bookmaker offer to settle early for a reduced return. GoalGrid does not advise live cash-out — it depends on match state and your tolerance.
Martingale
Doubling stake after each loss to recover. High risk — the Strategy Guide advises against it.

Results & tracking

How picks are settled on GoalGrid after the final whistle.

Win
Pick landed — counts as a hit in hit rate and adds profit in units (at the tracked odds).
Loss
Pick failed — counts against hit rate; -1u on the flat Official tracking model.
Void
Bet cancelled — stake returned, neither win nor loss. Common on DNB draws or postponed matches (bookmaker rules apply).
Pending
Match not finished yet — no verdict until full-time (or void rule applies).
P/L (Profit/Loss)
Net units won or lost over a window. Shown on Results alongside ROI.
Units (u)
Standardised stake measure — GoalGrid Official track record uses 1u per pick so days and weeks compare fairly.

General betting

Context terms that often appear around football tips.

Pre-match
Bet placed before kick-off — most GoalGrid tips are pre-match analysis.
Live / In-play
Bet placed during the match. Odds move quickly; not the focus of GoalGrid AI picks.
Form
Recent results trend for a team — wins, draws, goals for/against over the last matches.
H2H
Head-to-head history between the two teams — past meetings, goals, and patterns.
Line / Goal line
The number in O/U markets (e.g. 2.5 goals). The bet wins or loses against that total.
Push
Some books treat certain handicaps as a push (stake back). On GoalGrid, similar outcomes are often logged as void.
Bookmaker
Licensed operator that offers odds and accepts bets. GoalGrid AI is not a bookmaker — analysis only.
Responsible betting
18+ only, fixed units, no chasing losses. See Responsible betting.
